Meet ‘Lil Red—the bold, headstrong girl formerly known as Little Red Riding Hood. On her way to grandmother’s house, she crosses paths with a sly, conniving wolf who tricks her into revealing the location. Racing ahead, the wolf arrives first, devours grandmother, and disguises himself in her nightgown.
But ‘Lil Red isn’t one to be fooled. With quick wit and fierce determination, she takes charge of her own story—outsmarting the wolf and rewriting the ending to guarantee a happily-ever-after for everyone… except the wolf, of course!
Synopsis
Little Red Riding Hood, now calling herself ‘Lil Red’ (‘Call Me ‘Lil Red’), decides to visit her ailing grandmother deep in the woods. Despite her mother’s concerns, she allows Red to go and helps her pack a basket of gifts for Grandma (‘Two Things in my Basket’).
On her journey, Little Red encounters a sly wolf (‘Howling’) who learns of her plans and schemes to reach Grandma first. When she arrives, Little Red senses something is wrong—the wolf, dressed in Grandma’s nightgown, is waiting to strike.
However, Little Red halts the story, declaring she wants to rewrite it. She pulls a new book from her basket (‘Three Things in my Basket’) and changes the ending. This time, the wolf is bound and harmless, and all danger is avoided. The tale concludes with the characters reflecting on the lessons they’ve learned (‘Lessons Learned’).
