A young princess, adored and showered with gifts (‘Lovely’), receives a golden ball, now her most treasured possession. She takes it everywhere until one day; while playing, she loses it down a forest well. Heartbroken, she sits and cries.

A frog appears and offers to retrieve the ball in exchange for dining from her golden plate and sleeping in her royal bed. The princess agrees, and the frog returns her ball (‘Stuck on You’). However, once she has it, she abandons the frog and rushes home.

That evening, while dining with her father, there is a knock at the door (‘Knocking’). It’s the frog, ready to hold the princess to her promise. Reluctantly, she lets him in. He joins them at the table, indulging in the feast (‘Yum Yum Yum’), then follows her upstairs to sleep. Though annoyed at first, the princess gradually softens and begins to see the frog differently (‘I Don’t Know Why (I’m Falling for this Guy)’).

On the third night, the frog magically transforms into a prince. He reveals that he was cursed by a witch and that their deal broke the spell. The two gaze into each other’s eyes and fall in love (‘I Love Happy Endings’).
